Colour Swatch

The weather has been rainy

and windy

for the past few weeks.

Each storm brings colder weather.

The trees are loosing their leaves

before they have a chance

to adorn Autumn's finest.

I was out with the dog this afternoon

and noticed this one branch,

deep within our maple tree,

the only one with changed leaves.

It looked like the colour swatches

you would put on your wall

to try out the colour

and see if you would like

to make the change permanent.

I think this one's a winner !

Isn't nature awe inspiring?

it makes me smile......
