The fruits of our labor

Today was another gray day.
The rain this morning
brought frigid temperatures.
But inside the air was sweet
and warm ( sometimes hot!).
The girls and I made our annual
apple sauce and apple butter.
All the while enjoying
warm apple cider
spiced with cinnamon sticks,
whole nutmeg and whole cloves.
How delightful....



Right now the three of them are downstairs
singing along with our wii version
of American Idol.
Now THAT makes me smile.....
