Can winter be far off?

It's mid November.
Hard to believe.
It was 70 and sunny and beautiful today.
Not many weekends left like this,
I'm quite sure of it.
So today, we winterized.
The gardens were cleaned up,
the plants were cut back,
the leaves were picked up.



It's already looking more
like winter than fall.
Most leaves on the trees are gone.



But if you look very closely
there is a promise for a new beginning
just waiting to awaken........



In the form of buds
already formed and waiting.......
But first nature must sleep.......

Doesn't all of this make you smile?.....................
